Pamporovo, March 2025
Fourth edition of our winter retreat, and here we are once again in Pamporovo, nestled in the heart of the majestic Rhodope Mountains in southwestern Bulgaria. This resort, less crowded than its neighbors closer to Sofia, continues to offer a serene atmosphere and an ideal setting for a week combining sports and well-being.
This year, I was accompanied by 13 participants, most of them students from my yoga classes. For some, it was their first experience, while others have become regulars on these trips. But as with every edition, even though the profiles are very different, a certain magic happens within the group. Whether on the slopes or on the yoga mats, all levels blend together seamlessly!
Pamporovo has lost none of its charm. The vast coniferous forests, the silence of the mountains, and the beauty of the snow-covered landscapes make every descent unforgettable. Between skiing sessions and moments of relaxation, our Perelik Hotel remains our sanctuary: an exceptional spa with a semi-Olympic pool, four saunas, and three hammams, providing the perfect place to recharge after an intense day.
After spending six or even seven hours on the slopes, the evening yoga sessions became a true moment of release. Each session allowed us to stretch and relax our bodies, bringing a deep sense of well-being. It was the perfect opportunity to rebalance the muscles used during skiing and to approach the next day with more fluidity and ease on the slopes. A ritual that, for many, has become indispensable!
This year, our trip coincided with Bulgaria’s National Day, celebrated on March 3rd. On the slopes, we had the chance to witness a truly special moment: the descent of the Bulgarian flag, gracefully flowing over the snow, accompanied by the enchanting sound of traditional musical instruments. A festive and emotional day that added an even more unique touch to our adventure in Pamporovo.
A huge thank you to all the participants in this edition! Every trip is unique, but the energy of the group and the magic of Pamporovo make this experience special every time. Looking forward to setting off on new adventures with you! I can’t wait for the 2026 edition.
