Bhutan: the Hidden Kingdom
Our first day begins in Thimphu, the gentle and quiet capital of the kingdom. We visit the Tashichho Dzong, an impressive fortress-monastery with white walls and golden roofs, where the fervor of monks in prayer still resonates. We then head toward the hill of the Great Buddha Dordenma, a majestic statue dominating the entire valley and glowing in the morning light.
Nepal: Between Sky and Earth
Kathmandu is a feast for the senses — spiritual, noisy, colorful, alive. The valley has seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, each telling a fragment of Nepal’s soul, and we will visit them all. We begin at Durbar Square, the historic heart of the city, where temples rise like wooden sculptures and alleys hum with prayers and laughter. Then comes the Old Market, a maze of scents and colors, where flowers, colored powders, and offerings blend together.
Himalayan Travel Diary
I arrived in Bhutan first, and within 24 hours, I had fallen in love with the country. This Buddhist kingdom was long closed to foreigners and even today refuses mass tourism. A $100 daily tax per person and the obligation to work with a local Bhutanese agency allow the country to protect itself from over-tourism.
Pamporovo, March 2025
Fourth edition of our winter retreat, and here we are once again in Pamporovo, nestled in the heart of the majestic Rhodope Mountains in southwestern Bulgaria. This resort, less crowded than its neighbors closer to Sofia, continues to offer a serene atmosphere and an ideal setting for a week combining sports and well-being.

Pamporovo, March 2024
Pamporovo, March 2023
So, this is the second time organising my winter workshops and we’re back in Pomporovo. Situated in the heart of the Rhodope Mountains, a mountain massive in the southwest of Bulgaria, Pamporovo is one of the three main ski resorts in the country; I have to admit it is my favourite for a number of reasons. First being its location: it’s 250 km from Sofia, so quite a bit further than Borovets and Bansko which are only about 100 km
Pamporovo, March 2022
So, this was my first winter workshop in Pamporovo and I’ll immediately announce that it, most certainly, won’t be the last! Our mountain getaway was absolutely magical in many ways and I’m pretty sure that the participants won’t forget this week at the heart of the Rhodopes. Whether it’s the perfect snow coverage, the welcoming Bulgarians, the food, the ski resort itself or the hotel…
Pamporovo, August 2021
I organised my very first workshop, which took place in my heart country, Bulgaria, with 19 participants. We arrive in Sofia around 21:00 and what better way to start the journey than with an authentic Bulgarian meal? Most people in the group are students in my Stretching/Yoga classes and, as I am the only one who knows everybody, I ask everyone to introduce themselves… It seems like we are a very diverse group and I can already tell that this
