The trip in detail
The Travancore Heritage Beach Resort
For 7 days, you will stay at “The Travancore Heritage Beach Resort, Thiruvananthapuram” located south of Kovalam, near Trivandrum. The hotel is perched on a high cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea and a long, broad sandy beach. The Travancore Heritage Beach Resort also features 2 outdoor pools and beautiful gardens.
Yoga Classes
Every morning, a yoga class will be organized in the gardens of the Travancore Heritage Beach Resort. In addition to practicing asanas, breathing sessions and theoretical information will help you maximize the benefits of this ancient technique.
A Cruise in the Backwaters
The backwaters of Kerala offer a unique experience, reminiscent of a river winding through the jungle and lakes. This network of canals extends, sometimes forming small lakes or adjoining other canals, in an environment marked by exceptional calm, far from the usual tumult of India. To explore these tranquil waters, the houseboat is the ideal means of transportation.
An Evening at a Kathakali School
We will not ask Kathakali dancers to come and perform at the hotel; instead, we will go to the heart of a Kathakali school in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) to discover these incredible artists and follow the preparations of a performance, including the amazing makeup session.
A Day in Trivandrum
A day in Trivandrum promises a captivating immersion in Kerala’s cultural heritage and urban bustle. The state capital is an ideal place for shopping, with lively markets and craft shops, but a city tour will take you through iconic sites such as the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, an architectural masterpiece dedicated to the god Vishnu, and other historical monuments. This day in Trivandrum is an excellent opportunity to discover the rich history, remarkable architecture, and vibrant atmosphere of the city.
A Performance of Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattam & Kuchipudi or a Concert of Carnatic Music
Depending on the schedule of performances in October and November, we will take you to a dance performance or a Carnatic music concert.
Carnatic music has ancient roots associated with religion and theater. Its compositions primarily use Sanskrit, but also Dravidian languages such as Telugu and Tamil.
Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kuchipudi are three classical dance styles from South India.
Regardless, we will spend a unique evening in an Indian theater in the Trivandrum region.
Indian Cooking Class
Indian cuisine is characterized by a rich diversity of flavors and ingredients, with generous use of spices such as turmeric, cumin, ginger, and chili, which give each dish a unique identity. Each region of India offers its own specialties, varying from the rich and creamy curries of the north to the spicy and slightly sour dishes of the south, thus reflecting the cultural and geographical diversity of the country.
Options
Each traveler is unique, and we are by your side if you wish to customize your stay. Here are some ideas for optional activities, but we remain at your disposal for any special requests:

Personalized consultations with an Ayurvedic doctor will allow you to benefit from Ayurvedic treatments adapted to your needs, a path towards balance and well-being. Consultations with the doctor will be daily, and the food will be tailored to the treatment.
Bharatanatyam Classes
Among the classical dances of South India, Bharatanatyam is the most comprehensive and arguably the most complex. It allows for a deep dive into history and revisiting the great myths of Hinduism.
