Kerala, God’s Own Country

€1395 per person

After two unforgettable trips in October and November 2024, we’re heading back to Kerala in 2025! The experience was such a success — and the participants’ enthusiasm so overwhelming — that we’ve decided to keep the same program. Same hotel, same peaceful rhythm: daily yoga classes, swims in the ocean, cultural visits, and of course, Ayurvedic massages in a trusted wellness center. A perfect balance of relaxation, discovery, and well-being.

You can read about the first group’s journey on this page and the second one here.

Kerala, aptly nicknamed “God’s Own Country,” is a true mosaic of cultures, traditions, and stunning natural landscapes. Located in the southwest of India, along the Arabian Sea coast, this state is renowned for its beautiful backwaters, idyllic beaches, mountains covered with tea and spice plantations, and a rich and diverse cultural heritage. Kerala is also known for its delicious and spicy cuisine, which will delight palates seeking authentic flavors.

Thanks to its tropical climate, Kerala enjoys lush greenery all year round, making it a paradise for nature lovers. It is also the cradle of Ayurveda, the ancient science of life and longevity, making this region the ideal destination for those looking to rejuvenate both body and soul. Between modernity and traditions, tranquil beaches, and tropical forests, Kerala offers an unforgettable experience that touches all senses and invites a profound inner journey.

The trip in detail

The Travancore Heritage Beach Resort

For 7 days, you will stay at “The Travancore Heritage Beach Resort, Thiruvananthapuram” located south of Kovalam, near Trivandrum. The hotel is perched on a high cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea and a long, broad sandy beach. The Travancore Heritage Beach Resort also features 2 outdoor pools and beautiful gardens.

The hotel features its own Ayurvedic center, offering personalized treatments based on the principles of this ancient Indian healing system. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with an Ayurvedic doctor for a one-on-one consultation to determine the therapies best suited to your individual needs.
And what can we say about the Ayurvedic massages, other than that they are truly unforgettable — deeply relaxing and nurturing, they bring balance to both body and mind.

Yoga Classes

Every morning, a yoga class will be organized in the gardens of the Travancore Heritage Beach Resort. In addition to practicing asanas, breathing sessions and theoretical information will help you maximize the benefits of this ancient technique.

A Cruise in the Backwaters

The backwaters of Kerala offer a unique experience, reminiscent of a river winding through the jungle and lakes. This network of canals extends, sometimes forming small lakes or adjoining other canals, in an environment marked by exceptional calm, far from the usual tumult of India. To explore these tranquil waters, the houseboat is the ideal means of transportation.

An Enchanting Evening of Kathakali

During our stay, we’ll attend a performance of Kathakali, a traditional art form from Kerala that blends dance, theatre, music, and mime. This vibrant spectacle brings to life epic tales from Indian mythology through codified gestures, intense facial expressions, and elaborate costumes.
Before the show, we’ll also get to witness the fascinating preparation ritual, including the incredible makeup session, where each color and detail carries symbolic meaning — a performance in itself.

A Day in Trivandrum

A day in Trivandrum promises a captivating immersion in Kerala’s cultural heritage and urban bustle. The state capital is an ideal place for shopping, with lively markets and craft shops, but a city tour will take you through iconic sites such as the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, an architectural masterpiece dedicated to the god Vishnu, and other historical monuments. This day in Trivandrum is an excellent opportunity to discover the rich history, remarkable architecture, and vibrant atmosphere of the city.

Discovering Bharatanatyam

We’ll also attend a performance of Bharatanatyam, one of the oldest and most revered forms of classical Indian dance, originating from Tamil Nadu. Deeply spiritual and highly expressive, this dance is a language in itself — every gesture, glance, and posture tells a story, often rooted in Hindu mythology.
For those who are curious or passionate, there will also be an optional introductory workshop during the stay, offering a chance to experience the power and grace of Bharatanatyam from within.

Indian Cooking Class

Indian cuisine is characterized by a rich diversity of flavors and ingredients, with generous use of spices such as turmeric, cumin, ginger, and chili, which give each dish a unique identity. Each region of India offers its own specialties, varying from the rich and creamy curries of the north to the spicy and slightly sour dishes of the south, thus reflecting the cultural and geographical diversity of the country.

Still hesitating?

Take a glimpse into the 2024 experience: two trips, two groups, but the same magical energy — filled with discovery, kindness, and unforgettable moments shared beyond the ordinary.

Let yourself be inspired by the story of the first group (read it here) and the second group’s journey (discover it here).

Extend your adventure in South India

If you wish to extend your stay in India, just like last year, we are also organizing a road trip through South India, combining nature, culture, and spirituality.

Continue your journey with a six-day adventure through Tamil Nadu, from Kovalam to Mahabalipuram. You’ll head to the lush green hills of Thekkady, known for their tea and spice plantations, then travel on to Madurai, one of the oldest cities in India. The highlight: a visit to the magnificent Meenakshi Temple, a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture.

Next stop: Pondicherry, a former French colony with a unique atmosphere, where you’ll visit Auroville and the iconic Matrimandir, a sacred place dedicated to inner peace and self-reflection. The journey ends in Mahabalipuram, by the sea, renowned for its UNESCO World Heritage temples, legendary rock carvings, and serene coastal charm.

All practical information about this South India Road Trip can be found on this page.

Two Ways to Experience the Indian Adventure

You can choose between two options: a one-week stay in Kerala, with idyllic surroundings including yoga, beach time and Ayurvedic treatments — or the full experience, extended by a six-day road trip through Tamil Nadu all the way to Chennai. For the combined option, all transfers are included, and you’ll find all the practical details and pricing further down this page.

And if you’d like to extend your adventure even more, we can arrange personalized extensions based on your preferences: nature getaways, yoga retreats, cultural visits, and more. Just get in touch with us.
