I arrived in Bhutan first, and within 24 hours, I had fallen in love with the country. This Buddhist kingdom was long closed to foreigners and even today refuses mass tourism. A $100 daily tax per person and the obligation to work with a local Bhutanese agency allow the country to protect itself from over-tourism.

Fourth edition of our winter retreat, and here we are once again in Pamporovo, nestled in the heart of the majestic Rhodope Mountains in southwestern Bulgaria. This resort, less crowded than its neighbors closer to Sofia, continues to offer a serene atmosphere and an ideal setting for a week combining sports and well-being.

Just three weeks after a memorable first trip to Kerala, I found myself back in this enchanting region, this time accompanied by a group of 21 participants. Building on the success of the first journey – which you can read about on this page – I chose to make only a few adjustments while keeping a program that had already won everyone over: cultural visits, yoga sessions, classical dance performances, soothing massages, and delightful discoveries of local flavors.
